First thing I mention in the post is that "every company rips you off with the accessories, and not just in gaming." They all have markups. The USB-C hubs I linked shows the relevant accessory prices for Macbooks and Chromebooks when I did the search on amazon. Yeah, I agree, but it's apparently just as expensive to make as a plastic stand.

That's no dock but a usb-c hdmi adapter, no power is transmited.
