I like how you purposefully choose by far the most expensive option.

I can find a really expensive anything to justify a companies price point of something. The average price for a USB C hub is about $20 that'll do everything you need. And Nintendo's AC adapter being 30 is a joke. I've found many adapters that are cheaper and do far far more things.

It can't cost Nintendo more than $20 to manufacture these docks.

First thing I mention in the post is that "every company rips you off with the accessories, and not just in gaming." They all have markups. The USB-C hubs I linked shows the relevant accessory prices for Macbooks and Chromebooks when I did the search on amazon. I even put a cheap one: https://www.amazon.com/Larnn-Multiport-Converter-ChromeBook-Charging/dp/B01M7NUY71/

That's to buy one and have it shipped to your house for 3.50 the 1amp version of the same thing is around 2 euro, again, to buy. I know you know this fact but still it's just insanity to try to put a 30euro price tag on something because it has a Nintendo logo on it is the same as people being okay with the lower power of hardware in Apple products because of the logo they hold, although in this instance the price is 10 times higher than the normal for the N branded adapter here.

Yeah, I agree, but it's apparently just as expensive to make as a plastic stand.

So, the fact that Nintendo also overcharges for its AC adapter means that it isn't overcharging for the dock. The AC adapter and HDMI cable cost Nintendo a maximum of $2 combined. As for the USB-C to HDMI, these adapters cost as little as $13, probably less.

And I can't imagine that adding support for the HDMI port, and charging capabilities adds significant expense. I wouldn't be suprised at all if the total cost to manufacture the dock for Nintendo was less than $15.

That's no dock but a usb-c hdmi adapter, no power is transmited.
