Surprising so many expected higher price? Bandai Namco even says "The price is exactly what I’d expect from a marketing point of view, but if you count all the individual peripherals… The full thing is pretty cheap, and I say that as someone familiar with the inner workings of the system. I have no idea how they kept the price that low".

Are you sure about that? Manuel mentioned the Switch prices in a store (I think it was Bic Camera) are marked without taxes.
