The 3DS has exactly the same range of battery life, 3-6 hours, depending on the game. I recharge my 3DS on the Go with an USB-powerbank and an USB-to-3DS-adapter. Looks like I can do the same with Switch.

The 3DS is much longer than 3 hours. Don't you have one? It would be 3 hours if the battery was spent.

I have a 3DS. I can get it empty in 3 hours with the right games. But more to the point: Nintendo is officially given the Switch a battery life of 3.5 to 6.5 hours. The german Nintendo-site for New 3DS states 3.5 to 6 hours for new 3DS and 3.5 to 7 hours for new 3DS XL. So Switch is exactly in the same ballpark here. I'm not totally happy with the battery life of the 3DS, the DS was much better. But it is OK, with me taking an USB-powerbank with me. So nothing changes in this regard with the Switch.
