I suspect the number of people predicting it will sell less than wiiu was significantly lower than the number of people who predicted wiiu would sell more than 15m (I'm sure it was well over 90%).

Currently I think it seems to be at least half this site. So I will give you that, but Splatoon was extra special, because I think 100% didn't expect it to potientially be the best selling console title In Japan this generation, outselling something like Final Fantasy XV.

Well Hardware in Japan did rise because of it. So it sometimes does?
