I'm with all what you said. The importance of local multiplayer. The only games online matter for me on Nintendo are Splatoon, MK and Smash Bros. All I can play on my WiiU. So no big problem.
I'll get Switch for Xenoblade 2, Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem Warriors. Maybe Dragon Quest and that project octopants or whatever. I hope very much for Monster Hunter. This is the game that would make the Switch for me very desirable.
