I understand that in some cases companies may underestimate the demand for a product, but like Jim said in the video, numerous different sites predicted well ahead of launch that the supply would not reach demand with the NES classic, so Nintendo should have been very well aware of it as well, and you really can't tell me that providing less than ten of them per store is Nintendo's genuine estimate for the console's demand.

Tbh mate numerous media outlets predicted a Clinton victory and Britain to remain as part of the EU so not going by what predictions from outlets is understandable.

Political discourse is a bit different from predicting consumer interest in electronics. In terms of electronics the main agenda is usually commercial in nature, so it's generally much easier to predict such things compared to politics where quite a lot often depend on people's opinion, which can change quite quickly. I mean, even Amazon warned that their NES Classic supply would run out very quickly after release, which it did.
