The Switch is merging the handheld and home console divisions of Nintendo and is therefor the only console to date that can call itself a true hybrid console. This isn't marketing, this is a fact. Nintendo recently restructered their entire software division for this very reason. The big advantage to this is that Nintendo's developers don't have to learn how to create games for two very different consoles. As a result they'll be much more efficient and specialized, resulting in more games being made. |
