You know what, ok free to believe what you want. You really don't understand the point if continue to say over and over and over COD is more popular in USA, i already showed you what's the problem here, but whatever. 5 million MORE than Battlefield this year? Including retail and digital? and that's also the "minmum", which mean you probabily expect even 7-8 million more than Battlefield? Good luck, you need it. |
Ok. Lets talk number than
CoD BO 3 sold 12 milion retail in the US alone. Battlefiled 3 (the best selling in the series as far as I know) did 7. We already know that BF1 opened below BF3 in the UK ( if you wish to even deduct anything from one mid-size market). Lets say that LT CoD drops 40% from BO3 (I still doubt it will and I am ready to bet on that) that would still put IW at well over 7 million, above where BF3 ended its run (tough sales indicate it will do somewhere between 4 and 3, and that would put us at 5). Even so, just in the US, just at retail it would have a ~2.5 million lead, and the game will most deffinatly end up performing better WW, especially as it became the de-facto FPS on the PS4.
Did we even included the fact that you needed a digital preorder to play MW remaster day1? No? Well, guess what, for many gamers that is a serious draw. But even in best case scenario, I simply cannot see BF1 gettin in as close as 5 million to IW. Sorry, I simply cannot see that happening. But again, we will have to play the waiting game to be absolutly certain.
If BF1 can manage that, kudos, I bow to you and especially to EA as they managed to finally get close to their arguably biggest nemesis when it comes to a rival IP.
