People know about it, they just don't want it. It's not that compelling of a product and the mini-game fad fizzled out.

I had a dinner party and invited several friends over who were basically the core part of the Wii demographic (lapsed/fringe gamers). They all had a Wii, many of them waiting in line and desperately going store to store to find one during the height of its popularity circa 2007.

Well we played Nintendo Land. And NSMBU. And a couple other games.

And they had fun. Quite a bit of laughter. No problems playing the games.

But the bottom line is following up with all of them, none of them purchased the system in the long run.

The casual audience is a tricky cookie, just because you had success once, there is no guarantee it happens again.
