5GHz is used for bandwidth reasons, but range becomes an issue. It only covers a room.
2.4GHz has lower bandwidtch but much better range. Covers various rooms.
There is a compromise between each.

The Gamepad used 5GHz due to bandwidth priorities and it's the reason of its limited range.
The NX could use 2.4GHz for internet connectivity and 5GHz for the screen sharing miracast.

False. A good 5GHz AC router has beamforming technology, which means that it can cover mulitple rooms with little signal degradation. If the NX has Dual Band tech, then customers can get the best of both worlds and not be prone to interference.

I doubt that the NX will have screen broadcasting tech this time, so the spectrum should be open to use!

Can you give me a link with that info? I would like to read upon it.

I've tried the latest Fritz!Box 5GHz bands and range only covered my living room. It is also true that my house is not made out of paper or wood, but real brick and mortar plus reinforced floors/ceiling.
