Also, Sir, you make most of the non gaming threads. Which have brought the site tons of views. Sales threads on this site used to be huge, they are not anymore, most of the heavy posting veterans are gone, which leaves the moons just rehashing stuff we have talked about hundreds of times. Sometimes just a few months prior. Without these extra threads the site would grind to a slow halt like it did when general discussions was chopped from the front. None of this is opinion, just experience with this site and fact.

Many policies over the past three years have hurt this site. Elitist wanting intelectual discussion only hurt the site bad, when that failed they left the site in ruin.

It's true, the weekly sales threads used to get hundreds of posts easily within a day or two. The latest one is now about 3 weeks old and still only has 65 posts.

The site does seem to be dying, but general discussion isn't the reason for that. Actually, if not for general discussion being back on the front page the site would probably be even closer to completely dead.

Numbers being so behind really doesn't help either. Apparently Machina couldn't update the numbers due to a bug. Eventually the bug was fixed by ioi, but it took a good while.
