It was talked about enough back when it came out. It just ended up only being okay. It didn't really resonate emotionally even though that was the apparent goal, there were more than a few plotholes thanks to the use of time travel that went so far as to make one episode basically go poof later in the show, and otherwise the ending felt super rushed due to trying to fit way too much story into too few episodes basically from the start. It wasn't a bad show, but it didn't really meet its potential to get beyond average. I'd say Charlotte was a solid 7.5/10. Not anything I'd go back to or actively suggest to anybody, but not a bad watch if you're bored and have four hours to kill. Actually, drop that to 7/10 for having the cringiest first ten minutes of any show I've ever watched. It's absurd how unlikeable the main character was and how he epitomized being a douche in the first episode to the degree that I actually dropped the show for most of the season it was airing. |
Maybe it was just me not expecting much of it. lol
Thinking about starting D Grayman. Never watched or read it before but I always heard its pretty good and a new season is airing right now.
