If I were you, I would watch something older. Nothing wrong with diving into the older stuff especially if you've never seen it. Just some examples. Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood, Inuyasha, Hunter X Hunter.

Terra Formars is a seinen rather than a shounen since it's published in weekly young jump (older males) instead weekly shounen jump (teenage males) ... 

 Does the age really matter, though? Everyone involved in anime knows that much older people watch any genre of anime. Terraformars has a lot of action and it's target demographic is males. Not much difference between seinen and shounen in my opinion. Alot of people use those words as a term for a genre.
