Even if it's in clear decline, Nintendo won't abandon its most profitable market, and handheld games are becoming bigger and bigger. If it's not in 2017, we will eventually see a NX handheld that shares the home console library in some way or another.

There's no doubt see a new Nintendo handhelp sometime in the future. Whether or not that a) has anything to do with the development of the nx home, or b) has any type of shared library outside of an easier process to port games remains to be seen.
