Maybe 6.5 out of 10?
For me, the Direct had more good news than bad, but also a lot of things I question. The only things I specifically disliked was the Amiibo stuff, which feels like it's getting out of hand, and the lack of Hyrule Warriors support for the original version.
Paper Mario: Paint looks like a Wii U Sticker Star, but Inwas one of the few people who liked that game. It felt like a mix of an NES RPG throwback that had a heavy emphasis on inventory management. It was flawed, but maybe Paint will improve on it. Likewise, I do not dislike Federation Force. It seems like Nintendo saw the online play in Prime Hunters and wanted to go one step beyond. I don't like the concept, but they seem to at least have thought it out. Even the stupid art style might make sense, sacrificing atmosphere to allow for multiplayer frenzy with a high frame rate.
Besides that, SNES virtual console games on New 3DS are good, even if exclusive. Star Fox Zero looks as good as it ever has, and Project Guard is a good inclusion. Monster Hunter is good news, I was worried about Rhythm Heaven, and am excited for DQ7. And there's a new Kirby that seems to use mechs like the animal buddies of old.
Il will do
