Bought DS and Wii last gen. Played the DS most of the time inside, although I did travel with it a few times.
When this gen started I knew I had less time to play, so decided to concentrate with just the home console. Before the WiiU was announced I thought the Gamepad was going to act as a home handheld, etc. I was kinda expecting the NX filosophy to have happened by now.
I'd only buy the home console for myself, but I might get the handheld for family use. Although that would only be interesting if we get a family account setup were we can share titles between devices and accounts.
