This kind of talk seems to happen every year in regards to the academy snubbing some movies or actors. As far as black actors the ones that have gotten mentioned the most are Idris Elba from Beasts of No Nation, and Michael B. White from Creed. Will Smith has been talked about as well, but the movie itself got only somewhat positive reviews which probably hurt Smith's chances. Mind you, I haven't actually seen any of those movies so I can't say how good the performances actually were.
