How exactly will that make it more likely to get a new Metroid game? I understand people who were disappointed by this game as it doesn't feature Samus, but not buying it will not send the message you want to send. Especially if the game turns out to be good. If a good Metroid game won't sell, then what are the chances of Nintendo to keep making more of them? |
But is it at the same time a GOOD and a METROID game ? because to me it isn't. Excluding the visuals since it was somewhere near beta what I saw is: a package with 2 game modes in it and the name Metroid on the top: the first mode isn't confirmed to be playable online and, even if it was, it doesn't feature voicechat so you must get together with other 3 people to play it decently, it's not like Splatoon where everone makes it's own thing, here players have to team up to take into cages big monsters... The other mode suffers of the same problems, while there are only 3 players in one team voice chat is key to play in games such as Rocket League or Blast Ball

I understand the idea behind this, but to Nintendo this is a Metroid game. It might be that because Samus isn't on the game, they are not even expecting it to be a huge success, but it still has the Metroid name on it. I also understand people not getting the game, I mean, I won't be getting it, but that's because I don't find the core concept of Federation Force that appealing to begin with. I have no problem with people not buying the game. It's their decision to make. I just find the logic behind some of these decision somewhat odd.
