I dunno if it's so much to bolster the library per se as it is that there's plenty of good games on the Wii U that were criminally overlooked because the system didn't sell well. 

Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Xenoblade X, etc. etc. that I think Nintendo would want to double dip on with the NX. 

Like 75-80% of Nintendo hardware owners this gen were 3DS-only (no Wii U) ... that's a lot of people that didn't get a chance to play these games. 

If NX dont have BC, NIntendo could just port some Wii U games to NX, no need for remaster, on other hand remaster of some Wii and GC games would be much more effective.

We could use some remasters from the GC-Wii era. I'm sure Eternal Darkness, Disaster Day of Crisis and the Sin & Punushement series could use an HD revision. WiiU games look great as it is.
