Sadly it's all but certain that it wont. Even if Intelligent Systems immediately began work on the next Paper Mario after they finished Steam and Fire Emblem, at this point any non TPHD or amiibo festival tier game should be developed for NX, a system that still has a chance so it only makes sense.

I guess you're right. I just hope I will get the chance to play another TTYD style Paper Mario game before I die! 11 years have passed since TTYD's release and I'm still waiting..
