If this years holiday season releases, E3, and TGS are anything to go by, it's that the PS4 is about to get full support. To alter a quote from Jack Tretton. PS4 has just started hitting its stride. At the most this is going to be the sixth generation all over again and Nintendo might move into Gamecube sales territory. At the least, this is going to be the Wii U all over again, if not worse. |
They honestly shouldn't even bother, 2016 would be very late, 2017 is hilariously way too late, it's like showing up to a party at 3:30 AM. Forget Sony they won't even be sniffing Microsoft who will be well past 30 million by 2017.
Just make a mega-powerful portable. That's the main part of NX. Then the "console" can just be a companion/side-thing to that, and it doesn't matter if it only sells 10-15 million units. It's just gravy for the stuffing.
