They wanted Nintendo to go all out, making games for it as if it were it's own platform, but that is not really the approach they are taking. Its being used as more of a tool for advertising than anything. the hope is that when they play this bullshit $0.99 version of splatoon or mario, they will see that there are way better games with dedicated hardware to play them.
