I need a question answered for Etrian Odyssey

The reason why I say this is because I am not sure if IV has an auto-wall feature. Untold has it, Persona Q has it, Untold 2 should have it as well; in these three games floor tiles you stepped on and walls you've touched can be added automatically to the map. However, everything else (icons for stairs, treasure chests etc.) still have to be added manually.

So based off this, I'm assuming it is required to mark everything on the map in order to advance in dungeons?
