Maybe downloading it is what allows 360 games to use XB1 features like game DVR, Snap, and that "turn the console on and resume exactly where you left off" feature.

 

Keep in mind that, not only is the XB1 running the Xbox 360 games, it's running them better than the 360 (better frame rate, faster loading, additional features), too!  I guess the game needs to be on the HDD for this to work.

Also, it's still in preview more.  The 360 market isn't available on the xb1 to download dlc.  If M$ has done this much, surely they will include dlc in the future, too!  That's the moneymaker!!

I just wanted to say it's not running the games better. At least not the ones I have tested.

It looks like the binaries have been changed. This is why they need lisencing permission, because they are altering the code.
