Stop taking these things way out of proportion

Being a spin-off doesn't mean it can get away with stuff. Sure, spin-offs tend to not follow traditions of their franchises' main games, but even for spin-off standards this is simply NOT Metroid and it shouldn't have that name.

Edit: oh wait. I just realized which thread this was on look, I think Nintendo is stupid enough to actually do that. They very often leave franchises dormant for long times after bad games not selling. Which is exactly what happened to Metroid after Other M or Star Fox after Command. Either way, this is a semi-joke thread.

The thing is, people would love this spin off if they showed a Wii U Metroid.... There is no denying that either.
