PS4 never stood a chance against the Wii's first two CY's. But it likely won't drop as fast either, the Wii grew almost 50% yoy in its second CY, but went down about 12% in its third, another 18% in its fourth and a whooping 33% in its fifth, essentially more than halving the annual sales in 2-3 years, while the PS3 and 360 peaked in their 6th and 7th CY, so while the Wii had more than halved its sales; the 360 (save for one years that saw a slight drop and then it grew again for a couple of years) and PS3 kept growing and also dropped a lot more slowly, their drops in the 30's or more % came the same year the new PS and Xbox arrived.
There should be a crossing point somewhere along these sales curves and I think the PS4 still has a shot at beating the Wii lifetime but not by much since I expect it to die a lot more abruptly than the PS3.
