Honestly there are so many different hands involved in making Bond movies I don't know how they actually make money. Eon productions/ MGM/ Sony Pictures/ Fox owns the home video rights...etc.
Also as a huge Bond fan the movies are really just extravagant commercials at this point. A lot of the budget comes from product placement.
He has used Sony phones in the last three movies and coincidentally I have owned them all. I just can not see Bond going with the popular mainstream choice of a Samsung or *shudders* Iphone.
