But it is, the events of New York in the Avengers have a direct bearing on the series. They mention them several times. Heck on one Ben Urich's newspaper headlines from his office is he story on the attack on New York. Everything in the MCU takes place in the same universe.


Oh he is talking about it being connected to the main story arc. In which case Hells Kitchen was part of the destruction of New York, reason why certain events are happening in the show are because of that destruction. I thought he meant not connected to one another.
