You could argue that it may have t the way Nintendo is built, they couldn't have done it. They're not an electronics company, they only make games, and they have a history of basically always making money. They couldn't endure years of the kinds of losses Sony took on the PS3. I'm not arguing they did a good job with the Wii U, but they couldn't have done what Sony did. |
At one point during the Wii gen, they were making $5 billion a year. I don't expect them to bleed money, just reinvest a decent portion of their profits.
