Given that the NX is going to have expanded capabilities, I do hope Nintendo doesn't nerd Zelda to make it fit on NX and Wii U. Also, NX will not be a handheld. It may have a mobile integration component, but there's no doubt Nintendo has realized the handheld market is a dead end with the rise of mobile. That has been proven with the downfall of handheld popularity in Japan. At the same time, the Wii U needs to be replaced ASAP, and it is a new type of gaming console that will excite people the most. |
NX can replace both.
Handhelds may be declining but at least Nintendo portables still sell reasonably well.
Nintendo consoles on the other hand ... have been selling like donkey turds since 1998 aside from the Wii which was powered by a miracle controller fad.
