What has happened to Zelda this generation?

I like Hyrule Warriors (I guess, I only played it for 4 hours) and Link's Crossbow Training.

I didn't like Skyward Sword or Phantom Hourglass and I skipped Spirit Tracks. The direction Nintendo has taken this generation is fine in my opinion.
