If you had never played Majora's Mask, then I suppose it would be a new game to you. If you had never played Wind Waker, I suppose it would be a new game to you. If you had never played OoT, I suppose it would have been a new game to you. If you had never played ALttP, I suppose ALBW would have been an entirely new game to you. I agree with you there.

2007 - Phantom Hourglass

2009 - Spirit Tracks

2011 - Skyward Sword

2013 - A Link Between Worlds

2015 - Zelda U

The remakes are just bonuses and don't fit into this schedule.

That's a good representation but in my case I am still upset that ALBW reused so much of ALttP. This might be fine, but this is coupled with the fact that Nintendo is remaking so many other Zelda games at the same time. It's been 4 years since anything genuinely new. This is still assuming Zelda U makes it this year. When you represent it by generation instead of year, it also looks even worse.
