Oh but it did. The only time new GCN games came out was in the span of August-November every year.
And it was nearly 2 years between the releases of the GCN's highest profile games: Resident Evil 4 (JAN 2005) and Twilight Princess (DEC 2006). The only notable games that came out between those two titles were: Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and maybe Battalion Wars.
