The problem with your point though is that the Wii online system was a joke, and the Wii U is about 8 years behind in terms of online. Not to mention 3D World didn't even have online. They still shun online. The fact they don't have achievements is a joke. Achievements should be standard in 2012. Nintendo even has the perfect system for achievements: coins.

Just because Nintendo didn't invest a lot into the Wii's online does NOT mean that the quote people use regarding Iwata is accurate.
Not only that, but your figure of "8 years behind" is a load of BS. You're just saying that because you think that the Wii U's online is only on par with launch-version PS3/360. That's most definitely not true, since it's very much a mixed bag of stuff. In some ways, the Wii U's online is decent, and in other ways it's still lacking. Much of it could be explained with Nintendo not yet making the investment in proper servers. If you want to bring up the account system, look into the history of that yourself and you'll see that your figures STILL do not match up. (Hint: Microsoft's online accounts were also tied to the system itself on the 360)
Also, while achievements are a big thing and are implemented in many areas, how beneficial it would be to the current Nintendo audience (as I already stated earlier) is debatable. It would cost money to implement, and gains they would see from doing so are not clear. You keep treating all these Nintendo issues as if they have such clear cut answers and they don't (at least for the ones I've seen YOU address).
