3 weeks late? I don't think that qualifies as being late anymore. Think of it, if you are trying to make numbers on a weekly basis, doesn't that mean that by the end of that week and a few days into the next you would have compiled all your data for the week ready for release? Unless we are to believe that there is data for a week that takes him two to three weeks to compile.
Call me crazy but this is how I think it would work.
- week ending (x) all data for the week is gathered
- 2-3 days to input data into used formula(s) and spit out results.
- middle to end of the following week after week ending (x) numbers are released.
The only logical reason I can see for numbers being 3 weeks late is negligence. I'm open to correction though.

Look at PS Vita sales for instance, they are tracking this thing completely wrong and don't know how they should. They are just waiting until NPD releases and then they give us their numbers. This is a lot better than giving us wrong numbers (which they are doing).
