She isn't one of their mascots, that's just one of the token 1-3 violent games per generation that Nintendo will publish in the middle of their usual Disney-styled titles that gets minimal marketing and a low print run at retail.
Nintendo keeps Miiverse under an extremely tightly moderated lock and key and they shut down Swap Note entirely for example, voice chat in Splatoon was never going to happen. They don't allow it in Mario Kart either.
