I still think they should have gone with the prototype. In the end, there would always be people who complain about it if they went one way or the other, and those people would always have the Pro controllers.

I don't think that would have been wise. It looks like its using 2 slide pads. A day of bayonetta 2 or Smash and that thing would have fallen apart. The final design with the dual analogs is sturdy, light, and comfortable for long sessions. I really think its the best controller Nintendo has made.

That's ergonomics, but don't you think the first one looks more appealing, let's say to the general public?

The final product was made for ergonomic reasons, and because third parties wanted real dual analogs.
Where are the third parties now?
