Both are games that play very differently to before. It is even more obvious for NES Remix. There is no single game-series it is a successor to. Or would you say that with NES Remix now Excitebike and Zelda are in the same game-series? Also NES Remix just don't simply remake the old games, the short challenges that only take a few seconds are let you make stuff that is different from playing the old games. i would pretty clearly say that are new games, did you try it already? Tomb Raider is more difficult, as it uses strongly the old branding. But still it is a new game. The old series was action-ortientied platforming-puzzle, from that only action is kept. There is a nod towards the platforming puzzles with the optional tombs, but I don't think you can say they are integral part of the game.

Yokai Watch should be there, that is 8th gen only and has 2 or 3 different entries now. |
I knew I forgot something really important. That are already 3 games, With 1, 2 and 2.5. Also I think the later games have two editions like Pokemon.

I don't really see this list being very big if you only include things that have 2 or more games though, course it will get bigger in a few years but for now there isn't really much to add to it. |
The point is to look at thenew series. We will mostly not remember the single games. For example we remember Smash Bros from N64 and Resident Evil from PS1, both turning into series. The single games are mostly forgotten.
