My comment wasn't directly aimed to you, but to some of the others that have commented on this (and other) threads.

That Jan 2013 Direct was a desperate move to attract users but had the side effect of making some people delusional. thinking that every Direct can be as good as that and that can have as many (or more) new announcements, specially for their beloved franchises. I've lost count of how many times Metroid was meant to be announced on a Direct, and the same goes for other games like Star Fox (revealed, or hinted, at E3), F-Zero, etc.

But that's not to say that this Direct will be bad. After all, with the launch of the New 3DS on the west and 2 or 3 new games revealed for it and some new footage of those "spring" titles, it will be a Direct worth watching. But some are hoping for so many unnanounced games, and surprises, etc. that they'll end being disappointed. And all because of them and their ridiculous expectations, not because of Nintendo.

And I hope you're right and they make me happy at E3!

Was thinking of adding that (hype) comment regarding the Jan 2013 E3 in my previous response, but you went over it quite nicely

I have high expectations, as you can see in the edit, of things that will never make it; like an expanded third party Virtual Console, to be able to purchase eShop titles through a browser, Miiverse notifications via mobile, and a new deluxe digital promotion.
