Do you think this is a better controller for the N64 than the N64 controller was?

I had an N64 back when new and did not learn of the superpad until this year.   I found it bundled with a N64 at a thrift shop for 20.00  Tried it out and liked it better than the standard controller.  Still would like to try the Hori mini but the price is qutie high.

I had a Superpad and it came bundled with my N64. I actually preferred to use it with certain games.
