Of course Nintendo is light years ahead of all these developers. How many genre's of games do these developers make good games in? 2 at most?

The last time I checked Nintendo makes the best platformer, RPG, SRPG, sports, party and racing. I'm pretty sure that they make one of the best FPS games too, but until they put metroid online it will be behind all these developers in one genre.

Taking a look at that, it would appear that Nintendo is the greatest developer right now. Even if I went and looked up that article from last week that showed Nintendo has a 33% million seller rate.

Platformer: Not all of Nintendo's great platformers were developed in house. Don't forget Rare gave them a lot of great games back in the day. 

RPG/SRPG: I hope you're not talking about Pokemon or Paper Mario because those all pale in comparison to other better known RPG's like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest, Tales of, etc...

Sports: Madden sales alone would prove you wrong! 

Party: I'll give them that one since the Wii is a haven for party games. 

Racing: Forza, Gran Tourismo, Project Gotham, Burnout, etc...

FPS: Even if Metroid was online it still wouldn't top Counter Strike Source, Call of Duty 4, Halo, The Clancy Games, etc...
