How would Nintendo Fusion work?

Perhaps the core of the system itself can be detached and carried around.  But, it can be docked to a unit that allows it to be displayed on TV.  I imagine that it supports standard controllers, but the brains itself are self contained to the portaible unit. Also gameplay can be streamed to to the TV if  you use the detachable portable as a controller.   They can be paired together using NFC so you can take it over a friends house and use it like and Amibo  Your saved data can be uploaded to a friends and seemless connected as a second controller. 

Edit also, if you are watching a movie on your TV, you can detach the portable and carry it into another room. 

The docking unit will also contain additional hardware (RAM, GPU etc.) that will allow for more games to be played when in "docked mode"
