NPD: 3DS Sales Lowest Since July 2011. About to Fall Behind PSP.

Probably, but I think Nintendo is extremely reluctant to cut the price because they need the fatter profit margins with the 3DS to reach company profit targets most likely. It would boost sales, but it would lose them money in the process. 

ya they probably wont cut the price which is why were seeing so many limited editions and free game promotions. but like i said in my other comment, im not too concerned considering 3DS hasnt had any meaningful software in about 3 months.

It's had poor sales relatively for a while now though. Even going back to last year, the holiday season was dissapointing with Pokemon X/Y, Zelda: ALBW, and 2DS launch. 

This year is just even worse. The 3DS has more than enough software by now too to not need a new big game each month, the DS went periods of 3-4 months without a big release all the time (generally when Nintendo was focusing on the Wii) with no ill-effect.
