This is definitely the best thing. Whenever I am required to fill out a form in person, I handle the "gender" and "sexual orientation" parts by holding my pen all fist-like, as though I was a child who knows not such complicated folly, and obscure the (often binary) options with destructive scribbles, accompanied by a polite "I am an equal-opportunites candidate" sideline.

You're arguing for the acceptance of all people, but then use such a degrading word. If you're gonna be all politically correct here, you should be applying it to all fronts. You want transsexuals to feel accepted here but then hurl around terms that most women would be offended by. No wonder there aren't many female users on this site.
