R.I.P being able to steal club Nintendo codes from GameStop (at least in Canada)

I don't understand this. Did the codes come in the back of the box or something?
They always come as a leaflet inside the games in Europe... did you guys steal these leaflets? Really ppl?

Shouldn't be worth all that hassle, since Club Nintendo sucks.
