Good article and it is also something Sony did heavily with the PS1 to secure its success. I am personally for it if they buy the franchise (think Halo, Gears) not so much with timed exclusives. The Polygon article is right as well, SE will benefit greatly as well, otherwise they wouldn't have made a deal.
