I don't anticipate a ton of Wii U games in 2016 even from Nintendo.
They will have to switch their development focus over to the next-gen handheld that will probably need to launch in 2016.
I think Zelda U will basically be like the Wii U's curtain call and they invest the time/money in that project to make sure Nintendo fans are happy.
IMO the next 3D Mario and Animal Crossing won't be for Wii U, but for the next Nintendo handheld (2016).
That has to launch big otherwise Nintendo's future in the hardware business as a whole is in serious jeporday. Wii U is what it is, a lost cause in a lot of ways, there's nothing Nintendo can do barring a miracle to change that now.
