Of course Aonuma is trying to explain away that people hate his games by postulating this fictional "Zelda cycle"
It's easy to call bullshit on that because the "Zelda cycle" is Aonuma's excuse to make more Wind Waker. And in the same interview he says that he makes it to bring it to a larger audience than the original WW. How did that turn out?
