I dont think they do. They want to appeal to as many people as possible. Mario, Kirby, Pokemon, Donkey Kong and Pikmin all look childish, but they are very much enjoyed by gamers of all ages. If you can look past the graphics, youll find that they are fun games with pretty deep gameplay.
