Does anyone think the Mario Kart toys in happy meals will have any significant impact on sales of software or hardware?

XBOX ONE/Wii U/3DS/PC
RIP Iwata 12/6/1959-7/11/2015
Thanks for all the great memories!

Yes! Its a good marketing strategy. I think it will certainly sell more systems cause the game is perfect for kids.
The game will certainly get more attention. There probably won't be any immediate results on sales, but it might help jump numbers during the holiday season.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
Anecdotal evidence obviously, but I saw some kids in Gamestop today playing Mario Kart. It was the first time I'd seen kids in a Gamestop playing a Wii U demo thus far. The kids seemed to have begged their mom to go there just to see Mario Kart. So I do think all the marketing is helping.
Hmmm, 50 cent toys increasing sales of $300 game system or a $60 game... No, just plain no...sigh...
I was so pissed when my daughter wanted the stupid stuffed toy rather than the Mario kart ones the other day >_>

This is horrible marketing! the time spent on any Happy Meals toy is 15 minutes tops, after that the kids plays with something else.
Nintendo save your money and spend it on... umm something like tv commercials!

I doubt Nintendo spent alot of money on this... They just said yes to someone asking them to use their characters probably...
